I feel like I've become such a bore recently. When trouble happens, it tends to just suck things up, so although I'm still reading books, watching tv, having things happen, when it comes to saying anything witty, vaguely interesting, or hell, articulate, my brain goes blank

Ugh, life is just a slog sometimes, even when you're (theoretically, at least) starting on an upward slope. I hope things improve soonest.

Glad to hear you've signed up for Yuletide, too. It's become my favorite thing about the holidays lately. Maybe we should arrange a writing meetup sometime, if you're interested (halfway...at a truck stop! :)--I'm fairly sure there aren't many Yuletiders in the area, but I could be wrong.

That would be fun! I'm not entirely sure if I can get my act together to do it, though - we're (hoping to) travel a lot for both holidays.

I'm rather excited about Yuletide this year - I signed up for a few things I haven't written before, and a few things I haven't written in ages, so I'll be interested to see where it all goes.

I think a lot of people cocoon when they're tired and stressed, so it's understandable that you don't feel like posting a lot. But it's great that you're swimming and doing your aikido, and getting the loan thing sorted out is AWESOME. It's so nice to have a little breathing room.

It's funny, focusing on my body like this. I wish I could start riding again, too. We were talking today about front rolls, and how you had to look out, not down, and I suddenly flashed back to my beginning jump lessons.

And as for Christmas - that can be special without making rich organisations richer.

I can't believe we managed - the payment was more than we pay a month for our car! What a relief that it's over and done with.
