msf basic rider course day 1

kind of a long day. 2 1/2 hours in classroom, then 4 1/2 hours on the course. The classroom stuff was a little boring and I really didn't get much out of it, but then I've pretty much memorized the motorcycle handbook and the BRC handbook, and have read 2 other books on motorcycling since that, not to mention endless articles online and a DVD ( Read more... )

Yeah, I just got a little Suzuki GZ250. It's red and really cute. I'm a little worried about taking it on the freeway, but I guess I'll try it and see how bad it will be. Most of my driving is on open freeway at times when there are very few cars, and even when I'm in the car, I probably average about 60mph, so I don't really need any speed, just mileage.

Thinking of getting one of those "crampbusters" for the throttle, or else one of those throttle control devices for the long highway drive.
