Unable to sleep, Venom sat up in his makeshift bed. He looked over to see his lover sleeping peacefully, envying how Ky dozes off so easily. He sighed and wrapped his egg in a blanket before pecking Ky's cheek. "I'll be back soon, love..." He whispered. He left the tent and looked up, admiring how the stars glittered in the night sky.

As he cradled his egg, Venom took to the skies. The flight was brief as he landed in a nearby pasture, where there was someone resting on the grass. "Good evening." Venom folded his wings and sat a few feet away from the man. "I didn't think the nights here were this quiet."

He was a bit startled at the sudden sound of wings, and propped himself up on his elbows as the man approached. Wings... now that must be fun.

"Evening," he replied with a slight nod. "It is surprisingly quiet, isn't it? I think I like it this way..."

"Agreed. Nights like this should be cherished." Venom cradled his egg and kept it warm. He hoped and prayed she wouldn't start crying. "My name's Venom," He started. "And if I'm intruding, I'm sorry. It's just that I couldn't sleep."

Venom? Well. He could honestly say it wasn't the first strange name he'd ever heard.

"Oh, no, it's fine," he replied with an easy smile. "I don't mind at all. I'm Gren." No need to reel out the whole name, he figured.
