Rant about work and knowing I should say something but don't know how

I know this won't be read by people it is just ot get it out of my system because I need to do that because I know I work in a ...well it is a little boy's playground masquerading as a work place

OMG. I think that would have broken my filter and I just would have gone and blurted out how incredibly offensive that was.

Has anyone ever actually spoken to the guy and asked him flat out why he says things like that?

You usually get the brush off from him and the others when you tell them they are out of line.

They giggle and the 'come on it is just a joke' in that school boy sort of way makes my blood boil. Then you are basically shouted down while they escalate.

It is a school boys paradise where each eggs the others on in the verbal stakes but you get them one on one and they say they think the place is getting worse.

As you said anywhere else you would break and say but the last time I did that with one of the others it got more graphic as if to prove a point it wasn't the worse thing he could say.

It's gotten to the point where a load of us females had a chat and we have had enough with regard to this and a lot of other things so for once am pretty glad that am not alone with feeling this way about the way things are going with work.
