I SO would have preferred this scenario to what actually played out during the second half of season 8. This was a very nice story, showing that Benny was/is actually a "good" 'person.' And, that Dean can think for himself and does not have to serve Sam and only Sam. Too bad your story isn't what we saw on TV. This story was well written, well done!

Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it. There were so many things in season 8 that were frustrating weren't there. Even if he had turned out bad, Benny deserved more than that two second concession statement from Sam in Taxi Driver didn't he, even if he had turned out bad.

That was wonderful! I wanted a better ending for Benny and Dean deserves some peace.

Yes Benny did deserve a better ending and Dean does deserve some peace because after season 8, I'm not sure he'd get it if he's 100 miles in the vicinity of Sam. Who at points did seem to turn into jealous boyfriend, especially with that 'Benny or me' ultimatum.

but with this I figured that this would work as a lot of people who got what they want or found peace, to a varying degrees, but it would all be just a little bit better and they took that last step to talk to one another.
