That line literally came out of nowhere when I was finishing off that little scene :) I'm glad that you liked it. And thank you for your earlier feedback - it really gave me some extra motivation to get this finished off. Although I'm afraid that my uni workload effectively doomed to failure my rather valiant effort to finish the next chapter as well.

Oh, definitely. It frustrates me when I stumble across stories where Buffy and/or Angel treat each other terribly in order to prop up the Spuffy. They obviously care for each other deeply and even if the romantic dynamic is not being pursued then that is no reason for them to suddenly stop considering the other person's feelings.

And I couldn't resist the Holden/Knox teasing. Or for that matter playing the two vampires off each other at every opportunity. They're both so bloody insecure and jealous and petty and I could write their voices all day long. I'm really glad you're enjoying them too :)

I'm really looking forward to reading more of this fic. The characterisation is just fantastic! I adored Buffy calling shotgun, and Spike's conversation with Angel is great :)

I do love my cliffhangers *g* And I'm glad you're enjoying :) Even amidst all of the angst and serious business of the plot there is always room for Spike/Angel banter and Buffy bogarting the front seat of the Porsche!
