And at least Angel's too busy with his own stuff to really get in the way, off course it might help that Buffy's understanding how far apart she and Angel really are.

“Did I just breakthrough? I shoulda known those street smarts would come in handy one day. And the irony of working-class-kid-made-suit is not lost on a brother’s lengthy rap sheet.”
So much Gunn love!
I love the awkward meeting between Buffy and Spike. This slightly stilted meeting sounds exactly right to me; I love them both, but this is totally how they'd behave.
BTW I friended you; looking forward to seeing how you develop this!

And it's funny, because the friendly conversation between Buffy and Spike in the lobby was so easy to write but I struggled for ages with the initial scene between them in Angel's office - I'm glad that that sense of awkwardness rang true because it just didn't seem right to me any other way.
Have friended you back :)

I'm very intrigued by the mystery of Buffy's dreams and what's the significance of the graffiti tags. I can't wait to find out what exactly is going on and how it connects to Spike. And the character voices? OMG, all the character voices! They are spot on! I would keep reading for your character voices alone! Very enjoyable. :) And the interaction and conversations between characters are simply delicious. All that tension. And Angel's pettiness... And the humor mixed with angst. I loved Lorne's 'good grief' moment! Oh, and I love the little details, like Harmony eavesdropping in the background. Priceless!
Friending you! :)

And yay! for your enjoyment of the character voices :) As I mentioned above I designed this fic like a television episode so I wrote it mostly in script format and filled in the prose later which made the dialogue pretty crucial to the whole thing, so it's a huge relief to hear that it works so well for you. I love working in familiar Buffyisms and I'm really excited to share the other chapters because I had so much fun with wordplay - there are some other character voices I've yet to delve into as well.
Friending you back :)
