[The first thing you'll notice upon your arrival, aside from the immediate strangeness of the surroundings, is a long table--it looks like someone's prepared for a conference, though a very small one. Of course, all appearances of professionalism disappear upon seeing--well--a unicorn (or is it a Pegasus? It's purple, it has wings, it has cat paws

(One minute, she's under the tree at Auntie Hermione's backyard. The next, she in a room with three people she doesn't know and something that reminds her of a unicorn. The first thing that pops into Lily's head is 'cool!'.)

Oh, what's that say?

(She stares at the sign and carefully sounds out the word.)

IN-FOR-MAY-SHUN. Huh.

Oh, wow! You didn't even use a wand or anything!

[sidestoriesmods]

You use wands? Ooh, that's so classic.

[scrapedlilies]

'Course we do. They're part of magic, silly.

[sidestoriesmods]

You don't need wands here. But you could have one here if you wanted.

[scrapedlilies]

I'd like one to show to Jamie and Al. Where's the shop?

[sidestoriesmods]

No shop, just imagine one! ...Well, you might not be able to yet, since you're not used to here, but watch. [A wand pops into her hand.]

[scrapedlilies]

(She grabs the wand, then remembers her manners.)

Thank you very much, miss! You gotta teach me how to do stuff like that.

[sidestoriesmods]

[Macy smiles.] It's not too hard; just imagine it, and it happens.

[scrapedlilies]

(She looks a bit doubtful, but imagines sparks coming from the wand. There's a wisp of smoke, but Lily now has a grin ear to ear.)

Didja see that?

[sidestoriesmods]

I did! [She smiles at the smoke.] You're getting used to this quick.

[scrapedlilies]

(She looks just a little guilty.)

Well, I was really trying for sparks but it's still good, right?

[sidestoriesmods]

Right. [Macy smiles back encouragingly.]

Just imagine really hard what those sparks will be like, and wish for it to come true, see? [And Macy holds out her hand to demonstrate; brilliant red sparkles rise from her palm, shooting up to form the shape of a rosebud that blooms before their eyes.]

[scrapedlilies]

Alright, Miss Macy.

(She stares at her wand at concentrates very hard on making sparks. After a moment, a few shoot out and Lily cheers.)

I did it! There were real sparks and everything!
