Binnie's bottom lip

I've been doing research and some sites say that it might be cat acne, infection from a scratch/bump, a reaction to eating a plant or something like that. I hope it' ( Read more... )

aawwww poor little thing. Yeah its scary when you notice these things. When I had my dog, no matter what it was if there was something wrong I'd take her to the vet straight away. How did the vet go? Is binnie ok? cuddle her for me :)

I know, they are a part of the family and it's quite distressing to notice these things. Binnie is doing ok, thanks. The vet said she is young and healthy. The vet felt the bubble and said it's not a cyst or tumour or anything like that. Most likely it's a bite from when she's caught a cockroach. So, we have some tablets that we have to give her over the next week. We gave her one tablet already last night and it seems the swelling has gone down a bit already. So, yay! She's getting better! I feel a lot better knowing she's on the mend.

She is doing ok, thanks. She likes to catch cockroaches (she finds them on our balcony - somehow! I think they live under pot plants) and the vet thinks that maybe one of them bit her when she had it in her mouth. She has a red spot also in the back of her throat. The vet gave her some tablets that we have to give her over the next 5 days.

Now, giving a cat medicine is not easy! It's too hard to just put it in her mouth, she fights and squirms. So, we have to hide the tablet in some yummy food in the hope she will eat it! We bought a tin of sardines today and we'll give her one and hide the tablet inside it! Hopefully, it will work!! Fingers crossed!
