I have to say my favorite commentator in all this has been Maureen Orth. She wrote the Vanity Fair article on Michael and introduced us to the term "Jesus Juice" (the white wine he fed to children). In the midst of all the eulogizing and hero worship she has been a nice foil. Matt Lauer interviewed her after a string of guests going on about how wonderful Michael was. Maureen started out with "Well, he ruined a lot of lives..." She is taking shit even from a blogger for Daily Kos...but I appreciate truth. He was a musical genious...but he was f*cked up mentally ill...and I do believe he was a sexual predator, though I also believe he felt he was giving and exchanging "love" with the innocent. Sad...really, the whole thing.

Yes, it sucks that he is gone, but there is a lot more awful stuff going on in this world right now. Enough already.
