Making it three for three on bugging teachers not her own, Parker stopped by Ares' office hours. Because seriously, what were the odds this was the same guy who'd messed with Callisto?
She stopped inside the doorway when she saw the throne. "Okaaaaay...."
Ares looked Parker up and down, smirking. "I really hope you're not a student." Not that he really cared if she was, it just made things a little more tricky.
"Senior." Parker was stared, fascinated and a little appalled, then paced into the room, keeping a good distance from the throne. Her eyes narrowed a moment. "Hey, didn't you DJ our Valentine's Dance with the lingerie blonde? New look." She returned the up-and-down look. "Not sure about the beard, though."
Ares's eye did not twitch at the mention of Ares, God of Love, because he was a god and they were free of annoying personal tics like that. "I don't know who this DJ you're talking is," he said, not exactly lying, since he never really had anything to do with him. "But if the 'lingerie blonde' was who I think it was, you would do best not to talk about my sister like that."
"Your sister? 'Dite. Sure." Parker blinked, then closed her eyes. "Aphrodite. Of course." Her eyes snapped open, then she cocked her head. "So. You're the real deal then. Or as real as it gets around here; Ares, God of War. I think you may be acquainted with a friend of mine."
Ares, unsurprisingly, was not that intimidated. After all, even if she did seem like a wee baby Xena if he squinted, she still had miles to go before she approached the real thing. "And if I did?"
Even Parker's got enough sense not to threaten a god. Or an ersatz one. Granted, the fashion sense was bad enough...
"What did you want from her?" She studied him. "Or was she just amusement for an hour? Because she believes in you guys, and would actually almost buy into whatever you were selling?"
Parker rolled her eyes, rocking back on one heel. "They all say that. Of course, they don't all try to pretend they're her ex, so I'll give that a resounding ugh either way."
"What can I say? The pretending to be the absent lover trick is a classic," Ares grinned. "And at least I didn't go around changing into animals like Zeus used to. Now he was kinky."
Parker gave him a look of horror, and said, "Way way too much information, and even grosser. Congratulations on improving on the family, then. Also? Leave Cal alone."
Parker studied him a moment, and anyone with half of brain could see her considering various ways and means of getting rid of Ares, then settling on, "Right. Good to know who your enemies are, isn't it?"
Ares thought that was kind of cute, in a puppyish way. "I've always found that a wise policy," Ares said. "Although if you're trying to protect Callisto, you obviously don't."
She stopped inside the doorway when she saw the throne. "Okaaaaay...."
