It had taken her all day and rather a lot of her emergency cash to track down Sofia. She'd never really left, last weekend, just changed hotels, and she'd had to bribe two cab drivers, a hotel concierge, and the manager of a warehouse block to get the information she needed

Nadia's head popped up slightly in surprise, but she quickly lowered it again.

The conversation had finished, but she kept the mic poised to see if Sofia or her men would say anything further.

But there was nothing to hear, but for soft, unidentifiable shufflings, and the hum of some mysterious machinery.

Nadia waited a bit longer before deciding she wouldn't be able to get any more information this way. She packed her equipment and quickly dropped back to the street level.

This entrance had two guards, easily dispatched. She made quick work of the camera, though the electronic lock took slightly longer . . . and then she was in.
