It wasn't like Nadia had much else to do, and the front porch was totally the new roof, so Nadia was out with her guitar, playing to the swamp and anyone else who might happen by.

Today's choice? Sinnerman by Nina Simone. It hadn't been easy to translate the piano into guitar, but it was a hell of a lot of fun to sing.

Pippi's window looked out from the back of the main dorms, which means she could see and sometimes hear what's going on in the yard and on the porches of the other two buildings.

Very different then climbing up to the roof when she heard a guitar...

Pippi jumped down to the ground and walked up to the porch of the carriage house.

"Hey."

Nadia smiled, and during a musical bridge, responded. "Hey, Pippi. How're you settling in?"

"Good, I guess. You're right, it's very quite here."

"All the more reason to make some noise."

Thelma wandered over, hearing the music.

"Interesting song," she said.

Nadia smiled. "Thanks. Thelma, right?"

"Right," she said. "Unless I've got an identical twin around that I've never met."

"That happens sometimes. Anything interesting going on?"

"I could get used to all this live music," Ivanova commented, wandering out once again in jeans and bare feet.
