Actually, you have barely seen the tip of the iceberg. Whether or not any of the multitude of Dinah stories make it out of my brain onto some kind of media, and thence manage to get sufficiently refined and posted is another question entirely.

I also have--in various reference works--numerous pictures of Dinah's various illustrious ancestors. If I scanned them, I could post them...

Just sayin...

Glad you enjoyed.

This reminds me of Dan Savage's story about the time he and his husband agreed to get a dog for their son... and the kid wanted a poodle! DS had a fit but eventually caved -- but he refused to be seen walking the dog before midnight. I was pretty surprised at Jack's mild reaction -- I guess he has no expectation of having to walk the dog himself. Can we look forward to a sequel to this in which Jack DOES end up walking the poodle around the neighborhood?

Sequel(s)? Maybe... sid401k June 20 2013, 01:33:46 UTC
Jack pretty much lets Lureen do what she wants. I don't think he'll do much dog walking himself--although you can never tell, many a he-man has found himself falling hard for a Yorkie or a Pomeranian or some other dog way outside the macho breeds. I think they probably have a fenced yard where Dinah can run around and play with Bobby.

I do envision a scenario where Jack winds up taking her on a fishing trip--and Ennis' reaction!

Thanks for reading and commenting!

I love it! And of course you're right, the utility clip would be much more appropriate for a non-show family dog to have, especially if Jack's gonna be walking her :)

Thanks, that was a fun look into an unusual afternoon at Jack & Lureen's house...

I have a feeling that Bobby is going to pitch a class-A fit at the idea of shearing Dinah's lovely mane down to a buzz-cut.

So glad you had fun reading it. I sure had fun writing it!

Having had a Standard Poodle in a Continental clip in the 1970s (albeit in Rhode Island, not Texas) I can assure you: it is an attention getter!

Thanks for reading; so glad you enjoyed.
