I don't know what Sam and Justin have come up with, but what I do know is that Brad lost fair and square, and Dixon is just being a dick. Also, Brad has been quoted by many people as saying "I don't care about the RP, I just care about the power." FUCK THAT! All I know for certain is that Sam and Justin won, so they should be the presidents, not Brad.
As i said in my own LJ (Selfish whore plug) Time doesn't equal privelages. If brad REALLY wanted to get more votes, he would of done more this year in H&J as an OFFICER. You don't boost someone to President just because he's been in school longer.
And after reading Dixon's cute little post, i'm sick of his passive-aggressive arrogant stance... you won't defuse this situation with that bullshit.
We did raise our voices, or tried to. I'm sure Li'l Sibbie told you about it already, but in case he didn't...We all PMed him to try to get a reason. He responded by evading and telling us to "meet him at break." So we did. Me, Andy, and Li'l Sibbie strolled on down there. Once we were there, Dixon told us he had to speak to Li'l Sibbie alone.
It took about ten minutes, and Dixon hadn't budged an inch, nor will he.
I know everyone is ripshit about this, and so am I, but I was talking to some alum online and there's talk of attending less because of this. That made me really sad, and that can't happen, because without PCs and especially alum, there is no H+J.
Me and Li'l Sibbie deserve our shot to make an awesome year, and if that's not till next year, then we still deserve the resources to try and make that happen. I'm asking everyone to please keep coming to the club, so that those who are on the side of true H+J aren't punished.
I know I'm not so passionate about the subject as you and my being so moderate probably makes a little mad. I can't really add in my opinion on the club changing because I haven't been in it long enough to say. I beleive it when I hear that Brad isn't really doing it because he truly likes rping- and I think that's just shitty. I think that in order to make a good president (of anything) you need to have a heart. You need to truly and honestly love everything you're doing and do it for the club members, not for yourself. You're president to make the club member's year great, not for your own pride and aknowledgment. Brad doesn't seem to have very powerful leadership skills and he doesn't seem to be intouch on a personal level with the club members. I think that's an important aspect in any president. And perhaps Dixon felt bad because no one voted for Brad, but that's because Brad isn't running with the club's livlihood in mind, it seems to be more for his own sick pleasure. Power hungry and all.
