[Note: The following are head-canon details that my particular Sephiroth muse possesses. In no way are they considered to be actual canon as imparted by the games or any official material.]
★ Sephiroth is a hard-core coffee drinker. He takes it black; no cream, no sugar, no milk. He believes that if one is going to drink coffee, then one should be prepared to drink it as is it, and not sully the taste with artificial flavors. Although he has been known to go through several cups/pots a day, he never suffers any ill effects from the brew, but has absolutely no success in making his own, as the next detail explains.
★ Coffee addict that he is, Sephiroth unfortunately has the worst luck with coffee makers. For some inexplicable reason (the General believes it's because the machines are evil incarnate and exist merely to cause him exasperation), every single time he touches a button on one, it explodes. It does not matter the make, model, or even if the infernal machine has just been used successfully by someone else. Coffee makers and Sephiroth do not mix, therefore Lazard has finally invested the time and gil to keep a closet of them in stock, because it is not wise to come between the General and his coffee.
★ Sephiroth has very little tolerance for alcohol. Despite his wonderful metabolism and the ability to take down a zolom without breaking a sweat, ShinRa's great General cannot hold his liquor. His usual tolerance is three or four shots of Vodka (Sephiroth's drink of choice; he will not touch any sort of colored liquor) before he topples over unconscious.
★ Thursday night is poker night at ShinRa HQ. Usually it's SOLDIERS vs. Turks, with anyone's guess as to who will walk away winners and who slinks back to their own building in horrible shame. Sephiroth is known to take part in these card games, and has one of the best poker faces in the entire organization. It's usually the Turks' strategy - approved by Veld because he hates losing - to get the General plastered and taken out of the game rather early.
★ Sephiroth can cook reasonably well. Despite all of ShinRa's technological advances, the food served in the SOLDIER building is absolutely vile. Therefore, Sephiroth finally took it upon himself to prepare his own meals and, like most things to which he sets his hand, is a more-than-passing-fair chef. While not television material, the General can whip up a mean spicy stir-fry over butter sauteed rice and often enjoys a nice Merlot to accompany.
★ The General has a slight phobia of physical contact. Mostly this has to do with his childhood as Hojo's personal pin cushion, but he will shy away from any sort of touch, be it a friendly shoulder slap or something similar. Unless he initiates it, he will keep well away from invading any sort of personal space and will not allow his own to be broached.
★ Sephiroth is prone to migraines, due to possessing JENOVA's consciousness inside his own mind. "Mother", as she styles herself, constantly pushes at her "son's" willpower, trying to get him to collapse and turn completely to her. Whenever Sephiroth is tired, frustrated, stressed and/or upset, the headaches worsen, more often than not rendering the General even more cranky and irritable. An early warning sign is whenever Sephiroth absently rubs his right temple, as if in exasperation or resignation. The dull throb there is JENOVA pushing just a little bit harder against his defenses, even though the man himself isn't aware of it.
★ On the very rare occasions when Sephiroth's defenses do come down, JENOVA has been known to possess him completely, even speaking through his voice to others in the vicinity. These bouts don't last very long, however, for Sephiroth is often able to exert his own will and drive her back, but the effort is exhausting and takes a lot out of him afterward.

⇒ paradiselostrp: Although grateful to be away from Midgar and ShinRa Corporation altogether, Sephiroth still is not happy. He remains aloof and ostracized from everyone, dealing with his own slow descent into madness, and his worst fears are slowly becoming reality, despite no proximity to MAKO and ShinRa.
⇒ city_of_midgar "What if the Nibelhiem mission was cancelled?" Here, Sephiroth and Zack never did make it to Nibelheim, therefore the entire events following have been altered. Sephiroth is still General in command of ShinRa's SOLDIER Legions, firstclasswings still his second in command, and the town of Midgar is still intact.
