Okay. The ads are irritating on a good day. (Although at least they are no longer those talking or spastically blinking things. Gawds I hate those things.) But, when I read fanfic, I'm doing so to relax. I dislike political ads. I can't figure out what they're for, as it's been my experience that most people know how they're going to vote. It seems as if they're just there to get the people who hate whatever candidate's being vilified all riled up and self-righteous. To me, those ads are irritating like ground glass, and I think their utter lack of grace and class is a big reason why Americans have become a people who are considered graceless. They set a standard of behavior that isn't all that acceptable - it's no wonder some people are now incapable of discussing politics rationally anymore.
