If it turns out to be diabetes, give us a shout. David has been living with type 1 for over 20 years now.

Re: hauling gear - as one who has been there - PUSH. Do not pull - you will kill your back and various other muscles. And don't be afraid to ask other members of the team for help with the heavy stuff, there are no medals for bravery in the stuff-humping world!

You will be fab in the job - it so totally had *you* written all over it that I was sure you were a shoe in for it. It occurs to me now that my father may have been scouting for an update on this circumstance when he called me the other day (what are they like?!).

As for lIns - I don't know what to say. I've spent much of the last week and a half with a head that felt like it was repeatedly being hit in the head with a hammer, along with various other migraine type symptoms - but at least I have a fair idea of what it is so that I can roundly tell it to bugger off. Let's hope she gets a resolution soon - at least if you know what you're dealing with... etc, etc....

Give Lins our love. Having run the hospital gauntlet last year I know frustrating and depressing it is. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

Thanks Paula. As Queen of Careers and job-loving (although it stresses you out, you clearly really appreciate it) that means a lot.

Although I'm sure you're very aware, as I am, that 7 weeks of short-pay work does not a career make. I'm moving pro-actively to extend this and get other opportunities in...
