6th form should be less draining than high school because the students are there voluntarily and are genuinely interested in the subject. David has always found 6th form easier for that reason.

There voluntarily and genuinely interested? I'd say that's a bit of a stretch, having taught in sixth forms for six years. They are far less coerced, and, since you're no longer in loco parentis, you can just get the ones who are persistently dickish kicked off the course.
