Welcome! Lately I've been really interested in England and Spain fic, especially dealing with their past. This one was really awesome. :)

Again, thank you. Wow, so much praise. ^_^; Hehe.

And yes. The dynamic between Spain and England is very interesting, especially given their history with each other. Fic writers in the fandom tend to write too much about when England captured Spain though, so I decided to take a different route (Enough Spain abuse! ;~;). I'm so glad it worked.

What a gorgeous introspective story. I love both England's musings how much or if at all the nations still matter - I just can't resist wistful England! - and then the interaction with Spain... They didn't even need words, just with a look there was so much intensity between them, such a feeling of old history.

Again....let me just say because people continue to forget (I blame Hetalia for Not Doing the Research and the fandom for Running With It) but SPAIN BEAT ENGLAND IN THE ANGLO-SPANISH WAR!!!! He won like 90% of the battles with the exceptions being the armada and the raid on Cádiz but the very next year Spain defeated England's Counter Armada and raided Cornwall! He also thrashed him two hundred years later in the Battle of Cartagena de Indias when England tried to take over Spain's colonies! And THAT was the real reason why England pulled out of the Austrian War of Succession ( ... )
