Do you have full blown asthma or the exercise induced variety? I have exercise induced asthma, but strangely cold air doesn't bother me that much. What really kills me is high humidity. I usually train for a fall marathon, so by the time my long runs hit in July and August, I'm dying. Do you keep your inhaler with you while you run?

Congrats on the PR! If you can maintain that pace or around an 11 minute mile, you'll finish the half in about 2:23 or so, but definitely under 2:30. :)

Unfortunately I have full blown asthma. High humidity kills me too, but fortunately for me I live in Eastern Washington and the air is very dry here, so even when it's really hot it's not humid at all. Running in the July and August heat sounds like hell. Since I'm a new runner I haven't really done that yet. I would run in the Summer but I would wait until the evenings and start. I always keep my inhaler on me, but I've never had to stop and take it while I run. I always take it about 5 or 10 minutes before I start.

And thank you! I was really pleased to see my time. I'm hoping I can maintain that pace. :-) I'll just be happy to finish the half marathon but under 2:30 would feel amazing.
