Title: Memories do the Strangest Things

To think that Lord Beckett was an average Lord would be to think that the sky was pink; it just wasn't true. He was short in stature and had a rounded, boyish face, yet somehow managed to radiate a commanding and sometimes downright terrifying aura. He was clever, calculating and cold. Beckett's face rarely showed more than this as he so often hid his feelings behind a smirk, a glare or just a plain, unreadable expression. So when Beckett's gaze reached the little model ship before him and the memories surrounding it burst into the forefront of his mind, it was a surprise to all around when the Lord failed to control his twitching lips and omitted a childish little giggle.

Title: Wandering Mind

To think that Lord Beckett was an average Lord would be to think that the sky was green; it just wasn't true. He was an exceptionally clever man that was good at speaking, great at talking and even better at not talking, keeping his secrets sealed behind a lock with no key. Beckett had an acute sense of hearing and used it liberally, recording as much information as he possibly could in his mind for later perusal and extraction of useful facts that he could use for own purposes. Lord Beckett was very good at listening, and very eloquent with his words. So when Mercer had completed his brief report and looked at Beckett expectantly, it was a surprise when the Lord blinked, as if only just realising his clerk was standing before him, and uttered, "... what?"

Title: Unexpected Words

To think that Lord Beckett was an average Lord would be to think that the sky was purple; it just wasn't true. While his plans and orders may be harsh at times, Beckett's words were always eloquent and his voice was soft and calm, even when he spoke of terrible things such as death and destruction. Groves had never heard the Lord use slang or any kind of derogatory language, Beckett was always so proper with his English. So when Beckett's sleeping form slid off the small bed in the cramped room of the inn that the highest ranking crew members were currently scattered across, it was a surprise to all awake when the Lord hit the ground with a soft thud, paused for a moment, and then uttered a guttural "fuck".
