I had originally typed a few sentences more out but wasn't sure where to go with them, then I realised that this would be the perfect spot to end so I erased them and left it there.

Oh most definitely. Either that or something big happened to him when he was younger, like being locked up and tortured for a couple of months, or one or more of the servants abused him behind locked doors. Something definitely happened, so I picked abusive!Father and suicidal!Brother.

I just noticed the first time I read this I thought Tyler died as well (via the misfire) and then once I read it again remembered that Beckett mentioned he was still alive in the beginning.

Nope, Tyler's still alive... I thought it might be interesting for a post-AWE story where Tyler appears and inherits everything. So many awesome characters died in AWE though, so idk if I will ever write something like that, I wouldn't know what characters for Tyler to meet.
