I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer from beginning to end.

I just completed a four month Buffy The Vampire Slayer marathon. I had never watched the show when it was actually popular or televised, because I'm contrary like that when it comes to "things that are popular ( Read more... )

Im with ya on not liking what the masses keep telling me too.
I held off on LOST until just now, doing the same thing and watching all the seasons. We are halfway throuogh season 4 now.

But I like Buffy up until Spike died and was brought back. I think it cheapened his death and was fan service. I liked his character and my most favorite episode was when talked to Buffy about killing Slayers and he had the flash backs. All it takes is for her to have one bad day then BAM he wins. I LOVED THAT. I like evil, even when its misdirected or not fully realized evil. I loved the concept of the army of slayers all over the world. How the progression got thrown off when they brought her back from death. How she was in "heaven" and they snatched her back. GOOD SHIT. Man, now I gotta go back and watch those, I really hate you right now hahahaha

Hahahaha, how the fuck are you me?

I mean, I watched Buffy sometimes while it was on, and I was aware that it was good, but I am just never into a TV show enough to actually make plans to sit down and watch it when it's airing.

So with a fraction of my tax refund this year, I bought all of Buffy. And just finished it like two days ago. So let's ramble on about stuff that everybody else got over a decade ago!

I'm gonna have to fight you for Spike though because he is totally MY imaginary boyfriend and no-one else can have him.

I also got all of Angel just for the sheer hell of it. Not as good, but still has a lot of awesome, and I have this intense love for the 5th season on account of, well, Spike.

I'd take you, if Spike were on the line. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I cried like a baby during the final episode, and was sad the whole next day. I've never in my whole life been affected by a TV show or other imaginary event like this.

I don't know how many times I've watched the musical episode already, but it's a LOT. I also can't get that silent one out of my head. Although the fact that Buffy was dating Riley Finn at the time was a damper. That Iowa farmboy was a loser, and something of a misogynist. But sexism in Buffy is definitely a topic for another rant.
