Well, welcome back! It sounds like a wonderful trip. Aside from the puking, of course.
I weaned my oldest kid the same way- following a trip. Except that my kid was six months old instead of 13 months! So don't feel too bad. In my defense, I followed some poor advice from the pediatrician, whereby I started him on the bottle too early in hopes of doing both bottle and breast, and he never really wanted the boob after that. I did much better on the next two kids.
Askhasijrjednfklnedkn I had this seriously massive comment, and it disappeared! *bangs head against keyboard*
Maybe for the best, though, since my offspring-free and thus clueless (in this case at least) ass offered numerous tips and comments on breastfeeding, very likely offending or just plain pissing off people in the process.
I don't think I'll ever get the whole fuss about breastfeeding though. Doesn't stop me from having opinions... Knowledge and experience are for pussies!
tee hee. That's the beauty of debate. If you don't know stuff but still have opinions, SOMEONE will likely set you straight! No worries. I don't offend easily at all. I'm SERIOUSLY pissed off at my provincial government at the moment, for cutting EVEN MORE arts funding, after doing a massive cut just a few years ago. But that has nothing to do with my poor tits.
i'm confused about how going on a trip weaned a baby?
i'm not judging I'm just confused. Did she just not ask for it or were you too busy or??
Jude has just passed a year and if he didn't have his bewbies he would FLIP HIS S**T. But we started on solids at like 8 months and I can just now get him to eat a proper dinner. So we'll be BFing long long into the future...
That awesome for you! I wasn't planning on weaning- you see, my mother had her for three night running, putting her to bed and getting her up in the morning, all with no breastmilk on hand. so with three days of no BF-ing, we just kinda decided to run with it. The trip was too hectic for me to be able to have the bb and still run all over a strange city helping set up a wedding. that's it.
