Entry 1

A...well, it looks like I’ve finally come to this school for good. I didn't mean to be a few days late. Hopefully my teachers will forgive me for missing them. I think Ba-chan might have given you (to any of my teachers who may have one of these journals, apparently they're popular here) notice. I'll make sure to catch up on any and all work I've ( Read more... )

everything will work out, cookies, roommate

Yes, true, you weren't able to experience the full size of our student body until now, though even if you had, this year would've likely still surprised you. We've gotten quite an influx of new students this year, including yourself~ Not too sure where they all came from, but it's always nice to see plenty of new faces to get to know better~

You'll do fine~ I just imagine there's a few subjects from last year that people don't remember so well, so whichever ones they are, we'll start the year by going over them first in class. It'll be a nice way for new students to feel less confused that way also.

You're welcome~ He was being very rude by saying all of that to you. For some reason, I have a bad feeling that he'll be my new "Kimura-kun" this year, much like Zaizen-kun was last year, if you know what I mean.

[OOC: Kimura is a graduated student who was in Saitou's and probably a number of the others' classes. He was known for being a problem student that liked to argue with the teachers. So much so that Saitou calls his biggest ( ... )

It's a bit overwhelming, having this many students here. My roommate seems nice though and having familiar faces in the staff helps. If it gets too much, there's always Ba-chan which helps a lot.

Do you really think he'll be as bad as Kimura-san? I heard a lot of stories about him and it seems like it'll be impossible for anyone to top him.

It might seem a little crowded for a while, especially considering we're short on space at the moment, but you'll get used to it. Might even come to find yourself enjoying the hustle and bustle of the school~ But I'm glad you are getting along well with your roommate. Feel free to come to me with anything if you need it. You already know my door is always open~

He's already verging on detention on his third day in class, and that was all before I also noticed he was picking on you. So I'd say he's doing a good job of trying to get that way.

Don't be too mean, sensei. Maybe he's just trying to figure out the school? Kind of like a dog backed into a corner that snaps at anyone who comes close because the dog's afraid.

Oh, trust me, I'm nowhere close to being mean to him~ I am reprimanding him though for his behavior. There's plenty of ways to figure out the school, but I don't quite believe what he's doing is one of those methods. Would you like to be the kind human who makes him think otherwise in that case~? I would like to myself, but I am a teacher, and if he snaps at me on things I must do, then I'm afraid I'm stuck with just my title when it comes to him.

Maybe...though I want to believe in giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Eh? Me? Oh no, sensei, I couldn't possibly...I...I can't. It wouldn't be my place. I think Piyo-san is older than me and I don't think he likes me and....and there's the part of him being...a boy.

The fact that I haven't yet given him detention despite all his doings would be my efforts to give him the benefit of the doubt. I would like to hope he takes that to heart, but I'm trying not to fool myself too much if it doesn't work out.

...You really are adorable without even trying at times, Sakuno-chan~☆ Him being older and a boy shouldn't matter~ Even a senpai can need help at things sometimes~ Boys too~ Don't let it discourage you if you think you can do something good for them. Plus sometimes having a kind-hearted girl talk to you about things or just listen can do a lot of good~ Why don't you give it a try~?

[OOC: Sakuno's response got a chuckle from Saitou over her adorable innocence. ^^]

Just...don't be too mean? It'd be an awful way to start off the term.

I'm still not so sure about that...and even if I did, I don't think Piyo-san would listen anyway.

I promise not to be mean as long as he doesn't force me into that position. I definitely don't enjoy being mean any of my students at all.

I think he would listen. Maybe not necessarily act on things or say he's not going to, but he would listen. Just like he's doing currently while trying to argue with you.

It's a little strange to think of the teachers here as mean to start with. Everyone's been so nice and friendly over the years. It's like with Ba-chan. I know you're all teachers but I've never seen the super strict teacher sides is what I guess I'm trying to say if that makes any sense.

I don't know. I think Piyo-san just likes to argue.

I suppose it's because until now you haven't been a student here and thus haven't been exposed to anything that would make us have to be mean at all. So I apologize in advance if you do have to see me get that way. But being a teacher means that we can't always play nice at times. Students are away from their families while they're here so we become everyone's substitute parents in a way. And as parents, that means we have to reprimand our children if they misbehave. It's not something we like having to do, but we want what's best for all of you, even if it means not always being your friend sometimes.

It does seem that might be the case, doesn't it~? What an odd boy~

My hope is that I don't do that badly and end up seeing you or any of the teachers that way. It's my hope. I don't know how well it'll work out.

I can easily say that you are probably the least likely person at this school to do anything to make any of us have to be harsh or needing to reprimand you, Sakuno-chan. So I won't worry about it.

You really think so? If so, that's a relief...wait, it's not because people are afraid of Ba-chan, is it?

No, it's because you are who you are~ You're a very good-natured and well-behaved girl and always have been. I honestly do not think you could do something that would make me have to act mean at all towards you. And if for some reason I do end up doing so, I think there would be something wrong with the situation.
