A...well, it looks like I’ve finally come to this school for good. I didn't mean to be a few days late. Hopefully my teachers will forgive me for missing them. I think Ba-chan might have given you (to any of my teachers who may have one of these journals, apparently they're popular here) notice. I'll make sure to catch up on any and all work I've ( Read more... )

.....Cookie bribes. Whatever happened to academic integrity?

Well, keep trying the believing thing. You'll see.

They don't matter, but you can't just arbitrarily assign names to people that don't make sense! They've got to be somewhat related; like, say I call you Miss Jerkass.

Hiyoshi-kun. Leave her alone. The cookies weren't a bride.

.....I'm not doing anything to her. We're just partaking in a conversation.

Look, your cookie!bribes are working already!

Partaking in a conversation where you keep insisting she has ulterior motives with cookies. Which she doesn't. Sakuno-chan is just a very sweet and considerate girl and she has been bringing us little gifts in greetings like this for years now. She enjoys doing so, and far be it for us to refuse such kindness on her part.

Sweet and considerate because of gifts? Sounds like a bribe to me.

No, sweet and considerate because that's her personality all the time. Now stop calling it a bribe.

She could be deceiving you for years and you wouldn't know. Bribes aren't as effective once you start suspecting.

Unless she's been deceiving her grandmother since birth, which in and of itself is scientifically impossible, then no. This is naturally how she is. There is nothing to suspect. Please find your conspiracy target elsewhere, Hiyoshi-kun.

What, is her grandmother omniscient or something? I don't even know who that is, rendering that argument less than convincing.
No one's naturally good. You can't cover for her. Give me to the end of term; I'll expose the fraud.

Something like that, yes. And her grandmother is Ryuuzaki-sensei, so you do indeed know her.
Everyone *is* naturally good. It's the evils of the world that have to be taught to a person. But Sakuno-chan has most certainly not been taught to be wicked or deceptive . She doesn't have a cruel bone in her body.

Ryuuz-- Now that's not fair!
The evils of the world just sort of effuse everywhere, no one can escape that, least of all somebody who's trying to hide behind a family name.

To be fair, Piyo-san, I did tell you my full name.

Well, back then, I had no intention of remembering it so I didn't give it any thought-- if you were part of some cosca, then that's important to know!

Cosca?

Cosca - It's Sicilian for an artichokes spiny closed leaves. ...Which symbolizes the close bonds of the Mafia.
While I do applaud Hiyoshi-kun for learning such vocabulary, it's rather rude to compare the Ryuuzaki family to the Mafia.
