Summary: Leeteuk, in the middle of being scared to the bone, is calmed.
Leeteuk was afraid.
They'd been going for six years. In it, they'd had member gains, member losses, car accidents, scandals, enlistments, anti-fans, and their own internal struggles to be the cherry on top.
He wakes up one morning and the headline is flashing across the screen. Super Junior - too old to be idols.
Just how much further could they go? How farther could they fall?
He's lounging around the dorm. It's a relatively slow day - Siwon has a photoshoot, Eunhyuk has rehearsal, and everyone is on-call - so they soak it up in a relief of laziness.
“Hyung~! Come look at this!” Sungmin's leaning in the computer chair, eyes suddenly wide and surprised. What's so important? What's so brilliant? He wonders. So he rolls off the couch and trudges over to over Sungmin's shoulder. And it is when he sees a familiar jawline and a familiar coif of black hair that he shivers.
Keeping tabs on Hankyung - Han Geng, he reminds himself - is something nobody brought up in the dorms. They didn't have ticket stubs to 'My Kingdom' that they hid in their schedule books. They didn't sing along to 'On My Way' whenever it shuffled onto their iPods. They most certainly didn't still have the handy Beijing Fried Rice recipe on hand - at least once a day, everyday. Nobody spoke of it, at all.
Today is the 6th Anniversary since appearing first time on stage on 6th November 2005.
Whether it was starting from music in 2005, or focusing on movies in 2011,
or 2012 and beyond, continuing to walk every step steadily.
Under different times and environments, I just want to be the same true “Han Geng”.
Six years, until the future, thank you for keeping me company, let the dream continue to be a reality.
His heart beats faster and faster. The tiredness of being lazy melts away like the snap of fingers. He suddenly felt like dancing - putting on Sorry Sorry and dancing - but he thinks that'll look weird so he just starts laughing. He grabbed onto Sungmin's shoulder, laughing in a quiet little way.
The past six years scared him. The future terrified him. But there was one exciting thing about it all.
Someday, one day, they would be 15 once more.
