talking about sports

Sep 09, 2010 17:12

So elsmi  and I hit the old couple mark of talking about the weather and sports in the car today.

Our favourite was Paintball Cricket, though Sniper Golf and Tornado Surfing came close.

My question is, though (assuming flag-color paint) -- when England plays Australia, how can one tell friendly fire from non?

weather, silliness, sports, family

Put glitter in the Australian paintballs to represent the stars on their flag?

There are probably rules that override flag colors to ensure accurate scoring.

Well you know. Nationalism is a big deal where Cricket is concerned, so maybe more of a gentlemen's compromise of some sort? One team takes red and one blue (and possibly glitter?)

Friendly fire, enemy fire, they have one thing in common.

Yer dead.

Now, a cricket ground should be big enough for both teams to dig opposing trenches, dugouts, maybe palisades of upturned stumps. Settle in for the long haul.

Ooh.

And of course this makes hitting fours and sixers even more important because when you run, you expose yourself to the paint barrage.
