Me: Now I want really angsty fic where Spencer has been Ryan's better judgement for years but Ryan gets tired of it and thinks that Spencer is always holding him back and that's really why they divorced. Years later, after Ryan has made a bit of a mess out of his life (but only a little one), he realizes how good for him Spencer was and that Spencer only ever had Ryan's best interests in mind and there is a grand reconciliation-but no sex b/c Spencer is happily married to Brendon, tyvm
Heather: Spencer is finally just tired of fighting Ryan all the time, tired of feeling like the bad guy when he's really only being practical, so he lets Ryan go. It hurts to watch him make mistakes, but it's better for both of them in the end. (And maybe Brendon is the one who helps him see that, with judicious application of their own ridiculous but successful life choices.)
Me: Pete turns out to be surprisingly wonderful at helping Spencer let go. & Jon as the reluctant go between for the 2 groups.
Heather: And Zack! He hates it bc he knows how things are gonna go and he's going to have to deal with TYV crap in addition to PATD, and Ryan is a pain in the ass to deal with when Spencer isn't there to prod him along. Of all of them, Zack realizes the most how Spencer filters and yet magnifies Ryan's personality simultaneously.
On the professional front: Ryan doesn't wish S&B ill, but he's honest enough with himself to admit that he wants his post-panic life to be more successful. Just... Not in that teenies screaming, hair cookies kind of way. TYV first tour does very well, selling out nearly every show. The next does well, but isn't quite as packed as the first. They find their niche and are happy with it (Jon is really happy with it) but don't become the darlings of billboard and MTV that PATD go back to being.
And then I had to drive home from work and then I got distracted by the marvelous comments on Ryan's twitpics so I didn't bug her for more so feel free to help me out with that. :D
Also if you sent me a text and I did not reply, it's because my phone hates my house and won't work properly there. I'm gonna switch back to my Sidekick this week and see if that solves the problem.
