OMG this is amazing. That last line is devestating but this fic suits not having a happy ending and I think it gains something for that. Absolutely wonderful although I'm going to have to go and read some fluff now lol. XD

I'm a sucker for forgiveness fics, where one party is truly reprehensible yet the other not only forgives them but is willing to try again. What I don't find consistent is that after everything he did, Arthur would be unable to cross that line again. He may have felt terribly guilty - as well he should - but given your characterisation of him it seems unlikely that he would be able to resist a forgiving Merlin for ever.

Just my thoughts :)

Thanks for your honesty - I truly appreciate it and I see where you're coming from.
The way I saw it he was also weighing his sins against Merlin's - there's a lot of disproportion between them - and Merlin's forgiveness only served to make him more disgusted with his own actions. Memories of the last time he had 'contact' with Merlin certainly would not be pleasant ones.
Plus, I don't find Merlin as hard to resist as some so my prejudices may be showing =D

The bunny massacre made me read this and I wasn't disappointed. Agonising, heartbreaking and awful. Loved it. :)
