Strategy 6 - Trying to keep oneself organized

Hn. So, the first thing you people do after an invasion of moving shadows is start killing people again? Really, I have to wonder if I have only been kidnapped to be murdered by psychopaths. Really, you'd make much more money through ransom. And if anyone, ANYONE, even thinks about touching Mokuba, I will tear you apart with my bare hands. Not that ( Read more... )

[At first there's silence, a testament to show how surprised the blonde girl is considering the last time they met he wasn't going to speak to her ever again]

Hai?

Of course you couldn't have waited. Oh no, you have to reply now.

I need a L337Pod. If you wish to be useful, you will let me borrow yours.

I doubt I could explain in plan enough language for you to understand. I will return it to you, and if it provides the information that I suspect it will, you will have had a hand in discovering who our kidnappers are, or at least where they are from.

..Plans change when the situation requires it.

Yelling at me doesn't compel me to return anything ^^

But welcome to the next event in the game Kaiba.

Jing, this is a pointless event. Those cards mean nothing to you, and there is nothing you can do with them. The coats in particular are too recognizable. I fail to see what benefit you gain from this.

You're correct. They mean nothing to me. But they mean something to you.

And I told you. This is the next part of the game.

Unless... you quit? If that's the case I'll gladly return clothes and cards to you before the day is over.

I do not quit. Ever.

...What do I have to do?

The problem with ransom is, even in a place such as this where little financial records are kept it would be easy enough to trace the money back to whoever the kidnapper was. Provided that the person trying to do so has any knowledge about money.

As for the current events, if you don't already know the source of the problem then you're a bit behind the rest of us. Which doesn't suit a CEO very well.

Though it does seem rather hypocritical and simple minded to talk about the benefits of ransom and then simply demand your things back.

It's been obvious to me from the very beginning that this wasn't about ransom. It was only a comment. There has been at least three killings since I got here, then the..shadow attack or whatever it was, then another death. Hn. I was hoping to see some energy directed towards escape, at least.

There have been several 'current' events, most of which I know the source already. Now, if you happen to know where my personal affliction came from, please, do share.

There's no benefit to ransoming these particular objects. They're too recognizable, and very few on this island would know what to do with the most valuable of them. Those people, I know quite well.

Well part of the problem is that there's no law, or rather no law enforcement in this place to prevent such crimes. So naturally they are bound to happen eventually due to the less than civil nature of many. But there have been several attempts at escape which have had some rather interesting consequences.

And I was referring to the shadows. It seems that the origin was quite simple to find for anyone who had access to the network several weeks prior.

I would expect there to be more attempts. The very fact that there are consequences means we must be getting somewhere.

Oh no, I know exactly where that one came from. I think I insulted it, the one time I saw it, actually.

I'm not sure I even want to know what was taken...

Ancient or not, at least we aren't in the equivalent of the middle ages.

Hn....Mokie, I need you to keep an eye on the other duelists on this island. They are the only ones who would understand the value of...hn.

True, but in attitude, we aren't much better off. You should watch some of them in the arcade.

Alright. I'll keep an eye out.

I've seen a few of them. They really don't understand the concept of video games all that well...

..Thank you.

No. It's pathetic, really. I think I disturbed that girl who held the tea party's brain just by mentioning first person shooters.

It's a game. A video game, specifically. I doubt you would understand.
