I definately don't think Izba is the place for a massage virgin ;) My first massages were done by a woman who was a good friend of my brother's, so there was a level of comfort there. Plus, she did the whole sheet draping thing.
Now that I've had a variety of bodywork done, I'm much more relaxed about it. The attitude of the therapist makes all the difference, too. Now I don't care much what gender the masseuse is.
As for the nudity, a *lot* of massage therapists I've met wouldn't be offended if, as a first-timer, you wanted to wear your underwear. They're rarely touching anything that is covered by underwear anyway, unless they're working on a problem area.
The touching part is harder.
Have you ever tried a chair massage? No disrobing required and they're usually quick - like 15 minutes or so, concentrating on neck and shoulders. Great for office workers!
Since you're married, massage probably isn't a big deal, outside of your husband's wishes.
I sort of have a whole philosophy about bodywork. It's more important if you're single and don't have a close family. Which is me. People *need* to be touched and it's not something we do much of in our society. It doesn't need to be sexual touch - in fact that can introduce a whole element that isn't helpful. But comfortable, caring touching is wonderful.
While the whole thing sounds incredibly intimate, the therapists at Izba are such a great combination of professional, yet warm, that it's a fabulous experience. I'm *not* generally that comfortable naked, yet they give you just enough that it's okay.
Plus, I've always gotten the feeling that these guys really don't want to see those small, hidden parts. If they get exposed, no big, but they really have no interest in me that way. This is their job. It's what they do. I guess the best way to describe them is friendly, but cool. Much cooler than a lot of massage therapists I've seen.
After the massage, I went to Performance Bikes and bought a trainer for my mountain bike and got some lunch. Then came home and slept for an hour.

So yeah, pretty much a perfect day!
