Job opportunity

I was recently in touch with one of my professors from my university and he sent along information about a job in Colorado this summer. It would be exciting, as I've never been to Colorado before, but I have to discuss this with Sam before I apply. It would be great fun, I imagine. =)

That's right. This would be in Telluride. I have no idea where that is exactly, and I'm not sure I'll even get the job, but if I do and you live somewhat close, it would be fun to meet! Fandom/Real life crosses FTW. =)

:( Telluride is a LONG way from my house. It's about a 6 hour drive (a little over 300 miles). Sad! If you get the job, and decide to drive to the Denver area, you should let me know! :)

Telluride is nice though. It's in the mountains. It's known for its ski resort. It has some cool things that go on in the summer though, too. The Telluride Film Festival is a biggie. There are a ton of festivals that go on there in the summer. Also, since it's a mountain city, if you are in to hiking, biking, kayaking, or anything like that, you'll like it. :)

The job is for the Film Festival, actually. Mmm, I love hiking and biking. Sad that it's so far, though. However, I would like to visit Denver if I get the job, since it would be a waste to go all the way out there and not visit Denver. Heh. (And, wow, CO is bigger than I thought.)

It's a lighting job for the Telluride Film Festival. I don't know much about it yet, though.

Telluride in the summer, from what I hear, is a good place to be. Especially if it's during festival time. Colorado is pretty awesome, I must say. I used to live in Boulder, but did a bit of traveling through the mountains before I left.
Never been to Telluride in particular, but most mountain towns in CO are pretty similar. Small and funky and expensive as hell to live in. Also hard to breathe in because of the altitude. Prepare to be out of breath while walking up the stairs.
