So I went to my friend Amy's shower this weekend, and she got a GORGEOUS china pattern. I forget the brand, but I think it's called "antique jeweled" or something and it's very Renaissance-ish and ornate, in a steel blue color ( Read more... )

Thank you for compliment. The china is Lenox, and the "Vintage Jewel" pattern.

Pfaltzgraff makes some fun, brightly colored stuff. Niki's new set is the Verona, I think, and I registered for some pieces from the "Napoli" collection. The nice thing about pfaltzgraff is that the price is relatively reasonable, and they do have LOTS of pieces- so if you're really only looking to integrate some colorful accent pieces, there's a lot to chose from. http://www.pfaltzgraff.com/

Oh, not to speak for Niki, but her new set is Villa Della Luna, not Verona. (although the colors are similar). Have fun shopping! :)

Yeah, Niki picked out a really cool dish pattern too! I don't know much about dish manufacturers, but what I've seen of Pfaltzgraff while browsing online looks pretty nifty. :)

I've always dug Fiestaware. Plain design with lots of bright colors to choose from.
