When did you first get into RPing?

A short while after I got Internet access so- more than 10 years ago. I started off learning the ropes in AOL chatrooms (I do not miss all the fucking drama), then moved to private RP in IM with my boyfriend until I got persuaded to join a Livejournal game that shall remain nameless at the end of 2007/beginning of 2008. I quit there after a few months, got suckered into ES in October 2008 and have never looked back. XD Between all that I'd put the number of characters I've played at 75 as a conservative estimate, both original and canon characters. One of these days I'm going to make a list of every character I've ever played just to see. XD

I've started adding disclaimers to all my RP profiles that I am not, in fact, said character. xD Nor affiliated with their actors- I used to run a tiny Harry Potter fansite and got an e-mail from someone in... I think Indonesia... who thought I was Daniel Radcliffe or knew how to e-mail him, and decided that was one time too many.
