Gah...DX I'm such a sucker for these Revolutionary War fics, and...oh, gosh, just knowing how much America loves England and how he wants England to view him as more than a brother...my feels! *sobs*

This was such a lovely story! Oh man, I really love this!

Thank you for reading! I really like that era in real life so I like playing in it with them, I just always worry about making it cliched... I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

It's my head canon that it would have been post Seven Years War when America started having feelings for him and England was being completely oblivious about it because he still saw America as a little brother.

I like that era a little too much in real life, too. XD I found a book titled 'The Writer's Guide to Life in Colonial America,' and I think I annoy everyone around me by spitting out new facts that I've been learning. XP

Whenever I write romantic USUK (which isn't as often as I'd like, actually), America's crush DID always start around that same time period as your headcanon, and England usually doesn't start liking him in that way until...meh, during one of the World War's. Makes it so much more dramatic. XD

I'll have to check out that book somewhere, it sounds like fun. I took a Colonial North America class this last semester hoping to learn about stuff like that, but I just ended up learning way to much about Jesuits in Canada. xD

I should practice brotherly USxUK more often. That way it would be easier to slide England into fics where I have America paired with someone else. I notice I have a tendency to avoid him when I have America in another pairing. xD

Sometimes, regardless of if it's my USxUK world I feel like America had a crush on England and part of the Revolution for him personally was getting England to see he wasn't a child. He may ultimately end up with someone else, but regardless his connection with England runs too deep.

(And now I just had another plot bunny pop up in my head *puts plot bunny in cage for later*) xD
