Summary: It was a time that England dreaded, when he would have to clean up the twins.

England was facing a dilemma. It was time to give the twins a bath. He had learned early on in his role of guardian that bathing them both at the same time was out of the question. If he tried to wash them at the same time America would usually try to start some kind of splashing game and not only soak the bathroom, but upset Canada until the northern colony started to cry. Then England would have to deal with separating the two and cleaning up the swamp that had become of whatever room he had placed the washtub in.
One option was to wash Canada first, the quieter of the two would not put up much of a fight. However, if he chose this method America would no doubt disappear and he would have to search for him. England sighed, the boy was just too much trouble at times.
The second option was to wash America first, since he would be easily captured if caught by surprise. But if washed first he would probably inevitably get dirty immediately in order to spite England and he would have to wash him twice. Also, Canada would probably complain because his twin was usually dirtier than he was due to his propensity for getting into almost anything muddy.
What to do, what to do. Too bad it was winter and far too cold to just to dunk both boys in the pond and be done with it. England sighed, a dilemma indeed.
