Could Nanao have been in the Kido corps at some point since Kubo said she was very skilled in kido?

That's a really interesting question. I'd probably say no, since we know that she's been in the 8th since she was quite young. Though, that's not to say that she couldn't have done a tour there as well perhaps? It's really hard to see her anywhere but the 8th, but that would be an interesting idea to play with for fanfics :)
