I was going crazy while away from all you crazies on LJ, does that make sense? My RL buddies aren't dorky enough. I've only seen OotP once because I was away in Maine for the premiere, and everyone here has had enough of it. It was WAY better than the last movie, but not as good as PoA. Bring back Alfonso Cuaron! Do it now!
I've onlly read DH

And regarding what you said about being disenchanted with college education--hasn't happened for me yet. I can't WAIT to go to school again! :-D

That's good to hear! I was just worried that I sounded cheesy about wanting to go to school. Because you know, school sucks and all that.

Yeah I love being like "EFF SCHOOL MAN" and secretly being thrilled about my education.

COULDN'T AGREE MORE. You're reading my mind, it's scary o_O.
I'd kill for a proper DH premiere here, you know? Yet, no signs, no boxes, no parties, no NOTHING. I'm so jealous :/. Saving the pics, I want to look at them and think I was there too. Hope you don't mind ;).
YAY for making up with Amanda! And omg is she a blonde now ^^? Sexxxy! I loved her dark curly hair, but she looks pretty anyways, that smile is worth more than any hair colour ♥. Be sure to give her my love, and birthday wishes, I love you guys so much!

I'll pass that on, I think she's out of town? I miss the good ol' days at SS when we strutted around Madam Malkin's, Ye Olde Avvy Shoppe, and Kat and Mik's old place. I can't even find MM any more, but I didn't look too hard...

I agree, the epilogue honestly couldn't have been worse! JK said she wanted it to be 'nebulous' but I thought it was more like 'soppy crap,' myself.
But all in all I thought it was THE BEST HP BOOK EVER!!!11 Pretty much, you know.
And I hate you, my HP party was NO WHERE near as cool as that one. It was all about getting the book and using jet packs to get back home as soon as possible :(.

I'm rereading it to see where it ranks in my favorites, though I loved the character development. Harry was finally thinking for himself, Hermione topped him as usual, and Ron was great when he came back. I loved how Harry's and Remus' relationship was strained and how they never formally apologized and hugged, with Remus dying at the end. Morbid, I know, but tragic in a lovely way.
I got home pretty quick, too. We didn't even talk about HP while waiting because my friends aren't as obsessed :( I shared your almost-misery, but at least we got the bloody books!

REEEEMUUSS! What a prick, eh? I honestly can't believe that his thought deduction would bring him to abandoning his child. It honestly doesn't fit in with my view of him. Of course, Tonks doesn't fit in with the awesomely gay part either. Hm. That whole bit, Remus, Tonks, their story just was whacked out. A whole line of mistakes right till the end. They wouldn't have made good parents, I don't think.

I had hoped for Tonks to die early in DH, but alas. I adored her in OotP, but all the emo got annoying. And I refuse to believe Remus is straight, I mean come on. I was glad to see him not be a perfectly mature adult, just as I loved Harry when he showed some good, manly, capslock emotion in OotP.
