For this of you unfamiliar with The Rose of Versailles (usaully called "Lady Oscar" in Europe) its a classic Shoujo anime from the 1970's that really defined the genre. For whatever reason though it was never realeased in America and the only way to get a hold of an English sub is through fan sites

You realize DVD's pressed in Europe aren't compatible with off the shelf players in the US or computer DVD players due to region encoding.

You need either a region free dvdplayer: http://www.regioncodefreedvd.com/index.html <- Legit company. I got my girl one from their and it works perfectly.

Or flash your BIOS for the computer DVD players...which I have no idea how to do.
