[That's all Shadow's got to say about the fact that he's again gone through an alternate reality that's shaken his barrier of emotionless-ness, and generally been... not acting like himself these past couple weeks. He doesn't know how to handle it, especially with Relm around. And doesn't want to handle it

I've read about this battle dome in the journals, but this is my first time I've been here.

[With that said, chi emitted before him. A ball of raw energy collecting in the palm of his hand. In a short period of time he released the energy and struck an enemy with it. That enemy soon incinerated in seconds, leaving no trace of it.

The youkai stepped into the stadium. Hi thar, stranger. Your display of energy attracted him.]

You'll get used to it.

[Shadow only spares the briefest glace, before returning his attention to shoot off a shuriken at one of the many targets and watch it drop, but there's another incoming right toward him.]

It's not real, but it may as well be. [Pauses to dodge an enemy and strike in retaliation.] The Imperial fighters are just to warm up... there's a bigger creature ahead.

I don't know if I'd want something like that to be real. [Oh hey, another foe. A simple, mild chi blast would suffice in defeating it. Hakkai wasn't really putting much effort into it. Hell, he fought so much in his world it was almost like second nature to him.]

Oh a boss? Those are always fun~! [Without warning he avoided an attack. Just as swiftly as he killed them, he dodged as well.] So this must be equivalent to that of a training field?

It's as close to real as it gets. Not too bad for a simulation. And a better training field than we used to have.

[Shadow slices through the air, and then sends a blast of Thundara at those closest to him. It really is letting him get a lot out of his system, having so many easy enemies to plow through. Which, of course, was his plan.]

[There's a growl, but it still sound a ways off.]

The Behemoth King's out there. Never did manage to take it down...

[Terra likewise needs a good distraction. She doesn't want to think about how many people she tipped off about her heritage, not to mention flashed. Compared to that, combat sounds positively relaxing.

When she enters, Terra spots a familiar face on his way to one of the rooms.]

[Yeah. He can't deny it's a relief they're back to normal. But reminders of the past and what could have been and all he's blabbed about... He just doesn't want to think about it.]

I was heading in to train. It's been a while.

[Since he went straight from experiment to mallynapping to... experiment. Fun.]

[Terra nods, coming to pause near him. But not too close, because she's aware of his personal space bubble and has her own.]

Might I join you?

[Now he sort of wishes he'd chosen a different setting, but oh well. Besides, Terra won't say anything anyway.]

If you'd like. I'm fighting the Empire... and a monster that I didn't get a chance to take down.
