[Shadow doesn't always like to stay around his room… sometimes not even to sleep. So tonight, as he's done many times while here, he finds a random place in the woods to settle and spend the night.]

[EXCEPT tonight isn't like any other, and his dreams are being broadcast above his head for all to see. The dreams consist of five different scenarios

[Terra doesn't often wander the woods at night, except when she wants to fly. Tonight she doesn't, though, just can't force herself to sleep after enduring that horrible dream of her own. It's far from atypical, though, one of the reasons why she is less rested than she should be.

After a while, she starts to get weary and wonders if she ought to head back, when spotting a dark figure up ahead. Wary, she nonetheless approaches until recognition pricks at her senses.

Shadow....?

She doubts he would appreciate being woken up, though, and begins to turn when the first of the dreams catches her attention.]

[He stirs slightly, but is pretty out of it... so the first dream plays out, with Baram calling for him, and the second soon follows. Nothing too disturbing... yet.]

[Terra starts to back away. She can't imagine that Shadow would be pleased to have someone see his dreams, even her. Still, she lingers long enough to see how Shadow got his name.]

(So, that's how it happened. But I shouldn't keep watching this, it's none of my business....)

[Clyde and Baram's bonding moment fades away after a moment, and then it's the third scenario- it feels all too real to Shadow, like he's back there with Baram begging him to kill him and... like always he can't do it. He runs away in his dream, stirring restlessly in the real world as that happens.]

[Freddy Cruger may have Elm Street, but Kefka's got the forest. Shadow will be learning this he hard way.]

Aha~! So you're Clyde... heheh... To think, the great bandit, enemy of the Empire, under my nose for so long... how ironic...

[Kefka grabs a nearby stick and begins poking at Shadow.]

Wakey wakey mister bandity~! I have some news you might want to hear about Baram~!

[He's interrupted right in the middle of the dream with Baram, bloody and half dead begging him to end it-]

(BARAM!!!!)

[He doesn't say a thing out loud as he jerks awake, a dagger drawn in each hand.]

[Kefka doesn't flinch, even if the ever chaotic flickering of lights, colors and shapes only seems to speed over his head. He knows Shadow's not going to attack... yet. As much as Kefka knows that, he also knows that Shadow still wants to know what Kefka knows about Baram, even if it's a lie. ...Which it most certainly is. But it should be amusing to the madman at least.]

I just thought you should know, it was Leo's unit that found him. Took him back to Vector and patched him up quite nicely. No, he did not die there... in fact, he still probably lives...

[Smirk.]

[Shadow gets up so he can take a better defensive stance. He eyes Kefka warily, ...and doubtfully.]

I don't believe you.

(I kept an eye out for a long time when I spied on the Empire and never came across him.)
