not to bash you man...but how come every picture I've seen with Orli and a leading lady, he always looks like he's taking pictures with his mom? I used to blame the costars, cause they usually looked even more bored...But Dunst here looks like she's wants to nosh the lad right there and then....

Well, these are promo pics for E-town, and his character has been through a lot of trauma--so I think that's what they were going for here. She's very perky and zany and all over him, and he's just trying to not fall apart.

You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my rambling tale. :P

A month isn't too bad, sometimes the release dates are really spread out so at least you don't have to wait too terribly long. Hopefully you'll find it's worth the wait; it really is a charming and funny film.

*hugs back!*

Thank you for a gorgeously detailed story-telling, it was much appreciated! I'd say particularly thanks for the illustrations, but that would just be shallow.

I really do hope that Orlando gets to prove his acting ability in this one, and it sounds like he doesn't let me down :D And you've made me even more desperate to see it! Goddamn England and its crappy release dates! *huff puff* So, yes, thank you :)

You're welcome; I'm happy you didn't mind all the babbling detail! The film fest is always fun, I wish I could afford to see more of the films... and I particularly enjoyed the illustrations myself...hee...shallow or not!

I hope you'll find the film is worth the wait...despite a bit of plot wandering, there are a lot of wonderful moments and I thought Orlando was incredible. There were several scenes where he was just magical, and some where he was just heart-wrenching. And he's soooo incredibly beautiful it's unbelievable.

She expressed that he was incredibly gracious, which she said was not a word that one could use very often in Hollywood, especially when it came to younger actors.

*slightly giddy smile* Of course, we all perceived that vibe years ago, but it's great to see such a statement from someone who has interacted with him on a personal level.

Lovely review. Thank you for sharing it. :)

I know, I'm always happy to hear about Orlando being a sweetheart and it just seems universal, whether with fans or interviewers or coworkers. And truly, Susan Sarandon is someone whose opinion I respect, so it was nice to hear her praise him, as a person and as an actor. *hearts*

Glad you enjoyed my little review! It was hard not to talk about specific parts of the film, but I wanted to share with everyone and not have them be spoiled!

Ah, someone who saw the longer version! I can imagine it got a bit long. I honestly felt that a lot of people thought the film was over, and then it went on for another 20 or so minutes! Of course many folks felt that way about ROTK...sometimes it's not just the length of time, it's just the way it's edited. And I agree totally with you about him being too close to the subject--I was joking with hubby that they needed to release a NON-director's cut, where someone else took stuff OUT, instead of adding in...hee. But really, I think it didn't necessarily need to be shorter, just maybe put together differently. But certainly I loved so much of the film, and really enjoyed it overall. And of course I love watching Orlando and thought he was just so engaging in this.

I'm glad your daughter has forgiven Orlando...honestly, it took me awhile to get used to him with the dark hair, too! Hee!

*giggles at your icon* :P
