stuff I've been up to lately

  • I'm registered for vividcon!
  • I don't know why Daylight Savings Time messes with me so much. I've lost plenty of hours to fannish things and felt less discombobulated. It probably didn't help that I was up ridiculously late last night due to VividCon anxiety.
  • Reading a new stack of books. In particular, I'm enjoying the adventures of laconic life partners ( Read more... )

books, vividcon

I know! And I also love how so many of the girls are saying, "Screw you, society! I don't care who you think I should be! I'm going to be an ATHLETE." ♥♥♥

Obviously Lana should be pegging Sterling's ass. As for a relationship...I just don't see that. Not Sterling.

(If you've been enjoying Archer, have you seen Frisky Dingo?)

Oh, Lana totally should peg Sterling. I'm not thinking about Sterling having a relationship at all. More like a grudgefuck buddy.

I haven't seen Frisky Dingo, but a coworker has recommended it to me already, and I've tossed it in my Netflix queue.

Yay, Vividcon! I hope we'll actually get to spend some time together this year. (:

Chak De! made me very happy, too.

Excellent! We could schedule some time, or perhaps you can tell me where you always sneak off to? I never seem to find you there!

I'm... usually at vid shows? I'm not a vidder, so I don't go to very many panels. Occasionally I run out to smoke, eat Thai food, or to make a Dominick's run.

Loving Southland.

ME TOO. I want to gather up the ten seven four three other fans who love it as much as I do and MAKE THEM TALK TO ME. There is no fandom for this show, and it boggles the mind. When I started writing Cooper/Sherman drawerfic, I knew it was serious. *g*

You are TAUNTING ME. *g* I am pretty much plastered to the TV whenever Lydia or Cooper are on the screen. I love watching Cooper and Sherman together, not just because I slash them like mad (and I do), but because it's so interesting to watch Cooper teach Sherman how to be a good cop and to watch Sherman grow into being Cooper's partner.

If I ever needed a detective, I would want Lydia to be my detective, you know what I mean? (And not just because I have an enormous crush on her, although I totally do.)

Oh, my god, you are of my people!! :D I'm pretty fond of the realism of the show for RL reasons, and I love the budding partnership between Cooper and Sherman, and I love Cooper because he's awesome, and Lydia just makes me happy because she's a complete, real person with issues, and she's competent! A competent detective! YAY! I totally get what you mean re wanting her to be your detective. Especially when you take into account how awful the rest of the detectives are. And their families. (Do not want. I want the Cooper-Sherman-Lydia-Lydia's new partner show. *g*)

Also, totally not taunting. I will probably post on a filter or something. *g*

I like to think I'm totally to blame for the NCIS renaissance. Muhaha.

And Whip It was AWESOME.

I've been watching NCIS all along, but I wasn't sure how much of the first season I'd actually seen... and I'm beginning to think not much? Possibly I've been thinking about writing fic. *koff*

*Random Icon* - NCIS is one of the few shows I love so much that I'd do bodily harm to someone who interfered with my watching of it. *checks grammar and sentence structure.* I feel a fan-fic coming on... Perhaps with Abby and Gibbs, because I just love the way they play off each other. Maybe a little Ducky thrown in for good measure.

Haven't seen any of the other afore-mentioned shows, because we only can afford the very basic of cables. Someday, maybe.... *wistful sigh*
