I'm getting a lot of Laura off of this application.
You march to the beat of your own drum and while you certainly care about people, it looks like you have subtler ways of showing it than by openly wearing it on your sleeve, which can often translate to other people as being distant and cold.
Both you and Laura seem to take that 'small person vs big mean world' approach to life-- using your words to defend you, and constantly sizing up the people around you, even if they're your friends. I got the impression from Laura during the game that even when she was fond of someone, she still felt the need to talk big.
That said, Laura is pretty unfazed by the town, but considering that she supposedly can't see the Otherworld, I think it's safe to say that if she COULD, she'd be pretty scared.
Not to mention, your cutscene of playing with a doll or letter sounds like a very Laura thing to be walked in on doing.
You seem distant and critical of those around you, but you're generally very shy and timid. Although Angela generally walks around in the town alone, I don't think she likes feeling alone. Mental pain affects you more than physical pain and you'd rather avoid that pain, and you're prepared to verbally defend yourself if you need to.
I can see a lot of Laura in your application. You can seem cold and distant on the outside, but underneath you really do care for people. You don't mind what other people think of you and are pretty unique. On the other hand, Laura doesn't seem very shy and you seem more mature/polite than her, but I think most of your application fits. The description of your cutscene also sounds like Laura. Overall, I think you match her quite well.
i'm going to say laura because you seem very independent and fearless yet lone and misunderstood. you accept fate yet seem to be proud to be reserved and collective about situations. you avoid conflict rather than retaliate.
Hm. Laura's pretty independent for a little girl, and she's practically on her own in the entire game, going wherever she chooses to. That makes me think she definitely has the ability to be a leader in some situations, maybe with other girls her age. You on the other hand make it clear that you tend to be more of the reserved, follower type. Though yeah, you can still be independent, too. Laura stands up for herself, while you prefer to avoid confrontation all together. So that's my reasoning why I don't see any Laura.
I can actually agree with Angela though. No doubt she's reserved and has a peaceful exterior. But she's got another side to her, one that's more moody and critical of others, like the scene after the Abstract Daddy fight. You say you're better at defending yourself verbally, and that's pretty much how the scene went. James beat that entire monster for her when she could have done it herself, despite the mental trauma she was going through at the point. But she still proves she's got inner strength in her, when she
