Isn't it odd that a date, agreed upon by a chunk of the world's population, but certainly not shared by all, should have a profound psychological impact?

New year, resolutions, high hopes, the ditching of anything that went wrong before, best foot forward.

it feels pretty dramatic here in nj, so it must be pretty ridiculous there. nov and early dec always throw me into a terrible funk. we can definitely tell theres more light already.

Poor T is only just adjusting after almost 6 years here!

I'd noticed after a few months of sleep therapy that I am affected by the hours of sunlight and darkness; when we moved back to the UK, I found the effect exponentially greater. The dark months are TOUGH to get moving in! Mind you, we humans probably ought to be slowing down our activities during the winter months anyway, instead of living to timetables (and I say this as someone who must adhere to a strict sleep/wake timetable because I don't seem to have a built-in bodyclock).
