Jasmine scented candle in her/his living space (Sho/Maki)frostbittenloveOctober 14 2013, 17:28:09 UTC
Sho remembers clearly the first time she's asked him to stay for the night -- her averted gaze as she keeps her hold on his hand even as he's slipped into his shoes at her genkan, the way she shyly led him to her bedroom, and how wisps of smoke emanate from the small glass on her bedside table as she blows the candle out and puts the room into darkness.
Sho remembers, very clearly, just how his arms around her frame tightened and how her body is so warm and soft and perfect against his, and how her hair and her skin smelled of jasmine and something so tangibly Maki that when he's back to his own mansion and he goes to bed alone he searches for the same scent, the same softness, the same warmth that's kept him sane and driven him crazy at the same time.
So much so that he resorts to buying jasmine-scented candles and lighting them up when he's home or when he's at work -- a constant reminder of her even when she's away from him.
