second ✧ [video] ❝all in the hands of a bitter, bitter man❞

Jun 09, 2011 13:52

[The Doctor is no stranger to violence, despite his personal views. He's certainly not managed to overlook the fact that they're all stuck here because of this war. But it's different, even for him--especially for him--to see what this one entails up close and personal, when he has to stop running away and watch. The journal is open against the ( Read more... )

[With chakra exhaustion, what Shikamaru really needs is a good nap. At least until he's built up enough energy to fully move again. Since that's going to take a while with the power cap, about the only thing he has left to do when he's actually awake is keep an eye on the journals and see how everyone else is doing.

This catches his attention for another reason entirely, of course, though he's getting to it several hours later than when it went up.]

You're the Doctor then?

That's me. Who's asking--I don't think we've met.

[he seems significantly less angry, or at least, it's once again under the surface. He's all smiles again.

Nara Shikamaru- aa, or Shikamaru Nara, if you say it backwards like most of the people here. [He's tired of having to make the correction.] And we haven't. Friend of mine told me about you.

[At least he sounds a little more pleasant. He'll take that as a good thing.]

Well, Shikamaru, it's a pleasure. Which friend was that?

[Knuckles is somewhat wary of folk calling themselves Doctor, especially one talking in such a dangerous tone of voice. But he can't help but agree with the sentiment.]

Impressive Speech.

[the Doctor's interest is a little piqued with this new person contacting him now--that's definitely a new one--but of course doesn't say anything. He does tug a hand through his hair, causing it to go every which way.]

Talking doesn't do much good though, does it. Not today.

[Knuckles smirks just a tiny bit.]

It's a start.

[And then it's gone.]

Most of the talk I've heard so far is about how pointless it is to resist.

[he makes an irritated noise--ppfff.]

Maybe it is, for this very moment, but it won't be forever.

[Well she's tired and feverish but... well. Talking to this guy is better than letting Minato play creepy stalkernurse all day without her doing anything. So anything? She snorts and]

A swimming pool, Tokugawa Ieyasu's sword, five jelly doughnuts, anti-silent freakshow repellant, a flock of doves, and a new cell phone strap.

[She's just listing off random things that come to mind in a horse voice. At worst she'll pick a fight and that'll be fun]

[there's the sound of some rummaging.]

I can do the swimming pool, the jelly doughnuts are just about to go stale, the doves--let's not talk about the doves--there's a some sort of swordy-thing, perfume that will repel almost anything with nose, and if you want I can make you a mobile strap.

[Mulder would freaking applaud this and join you in righteous vengeful anger were it not for the post-draft exhaustion. He has no energy right now.]

[...wait, he called himself "the Doctor" didn't he...]

There's going to be hell to pay when we finally make a stand against them... they'll finally be held accountable for everything they've done.

Good to see not everyone here has given up on that happening.

[Voice] SCREECH HELLO FOX MULDER.... shoutsgeronimo June 9 2011, 20:34:51 UTC
I don't doubt that, not for a moment. [in most cases, the Doctor would protest the act of vengeance, and violence begetting violence, but he knows that one day it will come and if it does while he is there to witness, he won't step in to stop it--not with children crying, not with other avenues having been exhausted to no avail. But he has several rules, and he tries to remember that for now, offering up a smile.] I don't believe we've met.

[Voice] XD!! YAY THESE TWO DEFINITELY HAD TO MEET ufo_fanboy June 9 2011, 20:57:54 UTC
They've had it coming to them from day one. [Mulder will gladly take revenge against people engaged in sick underhanded activities like the Malnosso. Abductions, horrific experiments, insane levels of secrecy to conceal immoral things, they push all his rage buttons. They're on the level of the Smoking Man and Krycek and other scum of the universe. But then, when it gets personal he tends to fly off the handle.]

The name is Fox Mulder, though I prefer to just leave it at Mulder. Have you been living in this paradise very long, ...Doctor, is it?

[He didn't recognize you but he knows enough about the show. And also knows enough about Luceti now not to get too> wrapped up in who's supposedly fictional and who's not, though it's still pretty exciting.]

That's right. Not long, I think, maybe a few weeks? Difficult to keep track when it's all in order like this.

You're right, sort of; words won't do any good here. But hope springs eternal and all that, one has to try.

Haven't you? That's good.
