Love the way the boys have eachothers back.
Bob is stupid, if he really believes AJ over Ryan. Especially after the way AJ trashed Ryan now. You can't just overlook these kind of injuries.

glad that Seth is getting some respect from Luke, but poor Ryan, especially in having to admit any kind of relationship to AJ (and Bob is an imbecile)

You're becoming more detailed in your descriptions as the imagery becomes more vivid. I like that you're slowing down those parts in particular. It heightens the impact and helps to set the stage for how the other characters react to and perceive certain events, exchanges, situations, and visuals

The boys' discovery of Ryan in the well was a bit too quick to be realistic, but I didn't want to delay the chapter with a long search. Also, it was important for him to be found before the campers leave on the hiking trip. Enter, Seth and his lightening fast ability to connect the dots and find Ryan; where's Lassie when you need her?

Don't give up on Bob yet. Administrators have to tread so carefully before making accusations on mere suspicions. The Trask family's financial contribution to the camp may have him wondering if the ends justify the means. They don't, and hopefully he'll realise that soon.

Lassie and Benji are always handy to have around. I guess a Seth will do. What a strange looking, wimpy dog. I guess he would have pedigree and an expensive collar, right? Curly coat?

I can't imagine Ryan making any hiking trip, but, then again, he's probably dragged himself through hell many a time already when he needed some serious medical attention- or plain old positive attention.

Yes, Bob would have to consider all angles, and that would including not discounting Ryan's because he doesn't have Oliver Twisted's cash. Ryan would be the one kid whose record wouldn't red flag any reason other than his so-called "scholarship" for being there, even if the other campers, or two of them anyway, were beginning to realize the ugly truth.

Coming soon, huh? And just as "happy?"
